With the ever increasing focus on health and wellbeing, Milligans have launched a new Nutrition arm with a goal to develop and produce a range of superior whey protein based nutrition products for the sports and fitness supplementation market. This launch has been in the pipeline for a number of years, as behind the scenes there has been considerable work put in by Milligans and Sports specific nutritionists in both New Zealand & North America into the research & development of the product range. The short term range will include Mass, WPI, WPC/WPI blends and Recovery products, with the range set to expand as product developments are completed. New Premises in Auckland Milligans have moved their Auckland Distribution centre to a new purpose built facility in Airpark Drive, Airport Oaks. The new NZFSA & MAF Dairy approved facility has over 1200 square metres of floor space, includes a 64 pallet Cool-store, truck & container handling areas and bright new spacious offices for the Auckland based staff. Milligans had been looking for a new facility for some time, as the growth of its Auckland services has increased to a level where the old warehouse was well and truly outgrown. The new facility will continue to distribute the Granny Faye's range of products, along with Specialty Cheeses, Eclipse Dairy products, Eclipse Flour products, Milligans Calf & Lamb Milk Replacers and Milligans Nutrition products and will act as a consolidation point for raw ingredients from North Island suppliers.
