Responsible packaging disposal

At Milligans Food Group, we recognise the importance of sustainability and responsible practices in the industry.

We are committed to working with our suppliers to do the most we can to move forward sustainably.

Join us on this journey and learn how to responsibly dispose of our product packaging below:

Eclipse Grated Cheeses 500 g & 5 kg

At this time local councils in NZ do not collect flexible films from kerbside, so the only available option for these films to be collected for recycling is through Soft Plastics Recycling.

Empty, clean, and dry bags can be dropped into Soft Plastics Recycling bins at a supermarket or participating retail premises - visit https://www.recycling.kiwi.nz/store-locator to locate participating sites near you. For further information please visit https://www.recycling.kiwi.nz/

Eclipse Cheese Slices 200 g & 800 g

Sliced cheeses such as Colby, Edam, Mild, and Tasty generally have a low moisture content and firm texture. The laminate packaging used protects them from drying out further while preventing exposure to external conditions.

Unfortunately, these films are not currently recyclable in NZ. Please dispose of this packaging responsibly in your general waste bin.

Eclipse Cheese Block 500 g & 1 kg

Block cheeses such as Colby, Edam, Mild, and Tasty have a low moisture content and firm texture. Their packaging protects them from drying out further while preventing exposure to external conditions.

Unfortunately, these films are not currently recyclable in NZ. Please dispose of this packaging responsibly in your general waste bin.

Eclipse Milk Powders 400 g & 1 kg

Eclipse Milk Powder packaging is not currently recyclable due to its structure which is designed to preserve quality and offer long shelf-life – please dispose of this packaging responsibly in your general waste bin.

Granny Faye's Pancake and Batter Mixes 220 g & 1 kg

Our blended range of dry mix batter and pancake mixes use the popular stand-up pouch with barrier properties to offer outstanding quality and functionality.

At this time local councils in NZ do not collect flexible films from kerbside, so the only available option for these films to be collected for recycling is through Soft Plastics Recycling.

Empty, clean, and dry pouches can be dropped into Soft Plastics Recycling bins at a supermarket or participating retail premises - visit https://www.recycling.kiwi.nz/store-locator to locate participating sites near you. For further information please visit https://www.recycling.kiwi.nz/

By responsibly disposing of our packaging, you play an important role in supporting sustainability initiatives.
